FAQs

My child is young, are all the players expected to stay in the dorms?

TFSS staff is assigned to different areas and have a room check and lights out procedure.  Each room has its own bathroom so there is no need to go outside of the room.  Staff will be patrolling the villa area along with a security guard that is employed full time by Historic Dodgertown. There is 24 hour supervision for our young players.  FKK is also sending a few male/female coaches to oversee the younger groups.

How many players are per room?

4 players per room. Players will stay in hotel-style villas. Each villa has its own personal bathroom, a small refrigerator, television and is Wi-Fi equipped.

How will GoalKeepers train?

Goalkeepers train separately in the morning and afternoon and then are incorporated with their teams in the evening.

What does a typical day schedule look like?

As a parent, I would like to stay in Vero Beach and come and watch the sessions.  Am I allowed to?

Yes, of course!  All parents are welcome to watch the training sessions and games.

What happens if my child gets injured and I am not in the Vero Beach area?

If a child gets injured the Camp has a full time athletic trainer on site.  Most injuries are such that they will be back on the field and able to play fairly quickly.  That being said, occasionally there are players that get more seriously injured and cannot continue to participate.  If they cannot continue to actively participate on the field in camp we have had the following take place:

  • At times the player stayed and finished camp to be with his/her friends, stay overnight, take part in team bonding etc.
  • Other times, the parent came to pick up his/her child. (If there was a player that could not continue and left camp we would sort out a refund based on the details)

I see I need to pay $360 upfront. When is the rest of the amount due?

The final payment is due at check-in on the first day of camp.

How will the players be fed meals and snacks? Is this included in the overall price?

All meals are included in the registration price. There is a fully functioning cafeteria that will have a full hot and cold buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There will be a camp store open after the evening session where players can get pizza, protein shakes, protein bars and other items as a post game snack.

Players are welcome to bring extra snacks and leave it in their rooms to snack on whenever they want.

How will players get water and drinks?

At every field, Gatorade hydration stations, along with water, will be available for all players to have access to.  If players want Gatorade there is an option at online check-out where parents can purchase an ‘Unlimited Gatorade Water Bottle’ for $15 which gives them access to unlimited Gatorade at the fueling stations for every session (this is much cheaper than buying a case of Gatorade bottles)

Should I register my player thru FKK or the camp website?

Please register your player directly thru the Camp Website here: http://www.thefloridasoccerschool.com/camps.html.  FKK and the Camp will be in weekly contact with registrants from each team.
