Congratulations to our very own Christian Rodriguez on his invitation to join FC Shalke 04 after being scouted at an ID camp in Germany.
Christian will be in Gelsenkirchen, living on Schalke 04s campus right next to the professional stadium. As a junior in high school, he will be a part of the 19s. He had a tryout with a German coach/scout and was picked from hundreds of players over the United States.
“FKK was the most welcomed club I’ve been at throughout my life. It was a new environment for me as I came from another club and I felt right at home. I was developed into a better player learning a new position I’ve never played before to help the team win. The experience was fun and the competitiveness was very high. I want to thank the Fkk coaches that helped me reach one of my many goals. Playing in a Bundesliga academy is the next step to my dream of a professional career. Coach Mike, Joe, Leandro, and Hue were very influential to me pushing me when things go right and wrong.
