A second team program is not a backup plan; it is a vital part of player development, culture, and long-term success. It provides meaningful opportunities for growth, competition, and leadership while building the depth that pushes every player to improve. A strong second team challenges the top team, strengthens internal competition, and ensures that talent continues to rise.
Why the Program Works
“I have always believed that the true measure of a youth club’s success is the strength of its second teams in each age group. Strong second teams create a competitive environment that pushes first-team players − and every player in the program − to improve every day. Just as importantly, they provide meaningful opportunities for players to continue or accelerate their development pathway.
It’s essential that these teams are led by top coaches who can continue and enhance each player’s growth, and at FKK we have made that commitment. Our RL coaches are a testament to the value we place on these teams − developing competitive teams that not only perform well, but also help players continue their journey to the collegiate level.”

Proven Success Over the Years
For the past eight years, 85 players on our second, third, fourth and even some Rec teams have committed to play at the collegiate level. This is evidence that if you have the desire to play in college − FKK will help find the right fit for you both soccer and academic wise.
We've also had national success by having six players from the RL teams win a national title!

The ECNL-RL (Regional League) program has really been important for me. It gave me the chance to learn new skills and improve every day. My RL coach, Jimmy Angeles, and teammates always supported me. This helped me stay motivated and work hard. Through the RL program, I learned how to handle pressure, stay focused and keep pushing even when things got tough.
All of this helped me build confidence I needed to compete at a high level. Winning the national title shows how much RL program helped me grow. I am very thankful for the opportunities it gave me to reach my goals.

My time at FKK competing in the ECNL-RL was the essential groundwork that defined my path to the collegiate level. The elite competition and high standards at FKK provided the tactical discipline and mental toughness I carry with me today as a defender at Daytona State College. That foundation was put to the ultimate text during our historic 2025 season, where the resilience I learned at FKK helped me anchor a backline that competed on the biggest state.
I am incredibly proud to have helped my team secure the NJAA Division I National Championship by bringing home the gold in a dramatic, four double overtime shootout victory.
Looking back on my freshman season, as a Falcon, it has been a whirlwind of growth and achievement. Beyond the national title, some of my personal highlights include:
- Contributing on both ends: I finished the season with 2 goals and 3 assists, proving that the defensive fundamental I built at FKK could also spark our transition into the attack.
- National recognition: being part of a perfect 20-0-0 season and helping maintain of the most dominant defensive records in the country
- Elite selection: Building on my honors as an ECNL All-Regional League selection and a Regional Selection Game goal-scorer, I was able to transition that momentum directly into the college game.
I am forever grateful to Coach Jimmy Angeles and teammates at FKK who pushed me to be a "Krush" player; you gave me the tools to become a National Champion.

The FKK RL (Regional League) program played a huge role in preparing me for the collegiate level. The standards set at FKK prepared me for the mental strength I would need in college.
Every coach I had along the way helped me develop me into the player, person and defender I am today and I am eternally grateful for the impact each one has had on me. I'm especially grateful to coach Jimmy Angeles for guiding me to Daytona State College and believing in my potential every step of the way. Along the journey, my teammates continually supported me, pushed me and encouraged me to be better every day.
I wouldn't have reached this milestone of winning a National Championship without the coaches, the program and people who stood beside me throughout the entire process.
