FKK is excited to announce the new hire of Gil Barbosa as the Director of the Competitive Recreational (CompRec) Program. He will be filling Kyndle Cobb's current position at the end of January as they make the transition.
I am very excited to take on this role and look forward to helping the Competitive Rec program continue to grow.
I have been involved in the Central Florida Soccer community in some capacity for the last 22 years. I had to take a step away from coaching due to my kids having a very active extracurricular schedule. As they have gotten older I have more time that I would like to dedicate to giving back.
I find it very rewarding to teach a child something and then see them put it in use. Lately, coaching First Touch and Developmental I have found that I can help parents navigate the minefield that is youth soccer by sharing what I have learned and some of my experiences.

Gil has been a stable in the Central Florida soccer arena for many years as a player and with his own kids. He has been with FKK as a coach in our FTD program and his own kids have played in the club – so Gil understands the club from both sides of the fence. We are excited to have Gil involved in our Recreational Program, as he will invest his time and family into the growth of our organization. He understand the needs of the customer and wee look forward to him moving and growing our Recreational Program in the right direction.
Many thanks to Kyndle Cobb for his time and energy in building the CompRec arm of our FKK. He will be here to help transition Gil for the next 30 days.
