Orlando, 1st July, 2015; Global Premier Soccer Florida (GPS) and Florida Kraze Krush (FKK) are delighted to announce that the clubs have combined resources to co-host the first annual Alliance Cup tournament over Columbus Day weekend.
The Alliance Cup, presented by GPS and FKK is open to teams aged U8-U18 and will be based at the multi-million dollar Champions Gate facility in addition to other sites in the Orlando area. The tournament will be held from October 9th-11th and will have multiple levels of competition within each age/gender bracket. Early commitments to the event include teams from GPS affiliated clubs, FKK and club partners and teams from FPL and GCF.
“It is with enormous excitement we look to bring the preeminent Columbus Day weekend tournament to Central Florida in collaboration with FKK,” said GPS Tournament Director Chris Waugh. “The brand new, eight field turf complex at Champions Gate is the optimum tournament host venue which has been utilized by Disney for showcase tournaments in addition to hosting MLS teams pre-season training.”
“In the inaugural year of the tournament we look forward to working with the alliance clubs to help to create more local events,” said Hue Menzies, Executive Director Florida Kraze Krush. “This will impact the growth of soccer within our community as it is today.”
