HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the '99 Krush Black team! They battled thru two overtime games this weekend to come out champions in the U18 age bracket.
Saturday Semi-Finals went into OT after coming back to tie the game after being down 1-3 at halftime. FKK nor FESA scored in OT, so the game was decided on penalty kicks. It was even all the way until Dylan Pixton made a save on FESA's attempt. Final score 2-1.
Sunday Finals brought on another competitive match against the Sunrise Sting. FKK was down 0-1 when an FKK player was injured and paused the game for 20 minutes. When play resumed, there was 6 minutes left to play. In the 90th minute, Maddie Allen was taken down in the box and FKK got a PK... Kara Kyramarios finished it with ease. Game was tied at 1-1 and went into OT. Two minutes into OT, FKK scores bringing the score to 2-1! Not to be done there, FKK continues to find the net 3 more times to win the U18 State Cup Championship! Final score 5-1.
