UPDATE: Florida High School State Championships - FKK Presence is Felt Throuhout

UPDATE: FKK Players Showing Leadership in the FHSAA Championships

This has FKK players throughout the club making their mark on the 2017 State Championship Playoffs being held this week at Stetson's Spec Martin Stadium in DeLand.  Both the boys Kraze and girls Krush are strongly represented this year.  The club is proud of your accomplishments!

2A Girls - Monteverde Academy
Shayla Smart and Grace Hinerman led off at the Girls 2A playoffs on Wednesday with Monteverde Academy (25-3-0).  Shayla was able to put two goals into the back of the net, but it was not enough to hold off a late charging West Palm Beach Oxbridge Academy.  Final score was 3-2.  This was Monteverde's first appearance into FHSAA playoffs.  Great job Eagles!

5A Girls - Oviedo High School Win Second Consecutive State Championship 3-1
Oviedo completed a perfect season and won it's second consecutive State Championship Friday night against the only other unbeaten team in the state, Boca Raton.  Ranked #2 Nationally by MaxPreps, Ovideo (22-1-0) has struck 119 goals while allowing only 7 against and led to a school record of 17 shutouts.  Ovideo has 14 players on the Varsity squad, led by seniors - Camille Copperthite, Erin Mikalsen and Zoe Smythe and maintains a strong legacy with returning players for next year consisting of Madi Allen, Sam Branford, Syd Brown, Reghan Massie, Sarah Preston, Tessa Simmons, Avery Nowak, Kaitlyn Zipay, Syd Fruhwirth, Sierra Brown and Jade Barkett.  Way to Go Lions!!

IMG_01423A Boys - Seabreeze High School Win First State Championship
Scott Tepper and Franco Perez of the Kraze 98 Boys Black Team led Seabreeze (23-1-2) onto the pitch Saturday for its first ever State Championship against coastal rival Merritt Island.  Franco Perez scored both goals in the shutout - Awesome job Sandcrabs!
